A
series of OBD0 (1988-1991) ECUs are not "chipable".
We've found
a way to make this series of ECUs chipable. For this a Rom-Adapoer Board
will be added to the ECU. On this Rom-Adaptor board you can put normal
Eproms (with the right program for the ECU). It's easy to revert the
modification, you only need to remove the Adaptor-Board.
How
do i determine if i can use the Rom-Adaptor-Board?
Does
the processor (look at the red oval) have a description "M83C154" and
has a 3-digit number on it, than you can use the Rom-Adaptor Board.

How
to install?
Easy! You only need to desolder the processor and replace it with a socket.
On this socket you put the Rom-Adaptor-Board. On the Rom-Adaptor-Board you
put the stock processor and the Eprom. The picture shows a ecu after the installation.

Which
Chips will work with it?
You have only to take care, that the chip is made for the ECU and the Engine.
I.e. for a PM7 ECU you'll need a chip for a PM7. The chips are the same like
for the ECU's with rom-sockets, there is no change needed for the Rom-Adaptor-Board.
What
is included?
1 x Rom Adapter-Board
1 x Socket
1 x Installtioninformation
